You Belong

This 264-sq ft-mural is inspired by Special Education (SPED) student drawings and their unique talents at Kentridge High School in Kent, Washington. KRHS is a banner school for Special Olympics, has a Unified Basketball Team that won state last year, and also has a Unified Cheer team and a Robotics team.

Staff wanted a mural that helped students feel like they belong at KRHS with imagery that illustrates their gifts. Students have the opportunity to have a photo taken in front of the wings and interact with the chalkboard-primed dandelion flower buds.
